Andreas Mikkelsen has confirmed he turned down a full time drive with M-Sport for a part time Hyundai deal.
The current WRC2 champion admitted in an interview with Motorsport.com that the deal with Hyundai made more sense longer term, Despite the limited programme for 2024 due to the stability of the manufacturer backed team and his history with certain members of the management team at Hyundai.
Mikkelsen also seemed unsure regards the long term future of the M-Sport team due to the limited support from Ford.
The Norwegian driver is likely to make his first start at the top level since 2019 for the season opener at Rallye Monte-Carlo.
