Meeke Looking To Maintain Winning Streak

In the final gravel race of this season's Portuguese Rally Championship (CPR), Team Hyundai Portugal's Kris Meeke/Stuart London and Ricardo Teodósio/José Teixeira set off determined to maintain the superiority shown by the Hyundai i20 N Rally2 in the previous three rounds for the Vodafone Rally de Portugal (9/12 May).

Winner of the first three CPR rallies, Kris Meeke is the outstanding leader of the championship and although he recognizes that this Portuguese stage of the WRC has different characteristics, he does not lower the bar:

Meeke "Obviously my strategy is identical to the previous rallies. I will be looking to enjoy my driving of the Hyundai i20 N Rally2 and go forward early on. Of course, racing in the WRC is different, qualifying becomes more challenging, there will be more trajectory tears on the road. I am convinced that I will be competitive and I will approach the race as I have always done so far."

The Vodafone Rally de Portugal kicks off in the early this evening, with the super-special (2.94 km) of Figueira da Foz, followed by 8 more stages (126.90 km), ending there, in terms of points, the scoring race for the CPR. However, both Kris Meeke and Ricardo Teodósio will contest the entire rally on Saturday and Sunday, looking for the best possible result for the Hyundai i20 N Rally2.
