Kris Meeke & Co-Driver James Fulton return to the Portuguese Rally Championship for round 2 - Rallye Casinos De Algarve.
Its back, this coming weekend (15/16 March), the Portuguese Rally Championship and Kris Meeke (Hyundai i20 N Rally2) return with Meeke the usual favorite to win the second rally of the season, the Rallye Casinos do Algarve.
A rookie in the CPR Algarve rally, Meeke recalls his participationin in the 2014 WRC event held at the Algarve Stadium in Loulé, and is wary:
"I know that the sections are very different from those in the North region, tougher and... treacherous, with some areas of blind turns. We'll see, but hopefully I'll be quick enough to win." Given the pace that Meeke has been imposing since he "landed" in the CPR, it is natural that the three Portuguese drivers have already mentioned focus on "his" championship.
The event kicks off on Friday with free practice, Qualifying and the shakedown stage before the crews tackle three stages including the 1.38km Super Especial de Lagos.
Crews will tackle a further six stages on Saturday, With a total of 105 stage Km.
