
The end of day four took a dramatic and heartbreaking twist as the rally leader, Oliver Solberg, encountered a mechanical issue in the final stage of the day. Solberg's stunning run came to an unexpected halt as his car came to a stop, succumbing to a driveshaft issue.
Prior to the final stage Solberg had taken the fastest time on every stage throughout day four extending his lead to over five minutes, With the final stage remaining Solberg looked on course to extend his lead heading into the final day tomorrow.
