Lappi Takes Shakedown Stage

Hyundai's Esapekka Lappi set the fastest time on this mornings 5.42 km Håkmark shakedown stage.

The Finn moved to the top of the time sheets after his fourth run through the stage with reigning WRC champion Rovanpera holding the fastest time after two runs on his return to the championship.

Lappi's time of 2min45.9s took top spot with M-Sports Adrien Fourmaux impressing with the second fastest time of 2min46..5, Estonian Ott Tanak took the third fastest time 0.8s down on team-mate Lappi.

Rovanpera looked on course after run two but ended the morning with the fourth fastest time, Thierry Neuville took 5th with Elfyn Evans taking 6th fastest.
