Nothing showcases the draw of Irelands iconic stages more than this month’s Killarney Historic Rally, where the reigning World Rally Champion, Kalle Rovanperä, will follow in the footsteps of rally legends as he tackles some of Kerry's most famous stages such as Molls Gap.
The Killarney Historic Rally, already a favorite among rally purists, gains a new level of prestige this year, as it hosts a world champion willing to immerse himself in its storied paths. It’s a moment that celebrates both Ireland’s rich rallying history and its vibrant present, underscoring why the Killarney stages continue to captivate and command respect on a global scale.
Rovanperä needed little convincing, especially with the chance to tackle the event in a Toyota Starlet loaned to him by Jason Black, the 350bhp rear wheel drive starlet will no doubt put a smile on the face of the flying Finn.
The two-time world champion is well aware of Killarney, especially Molls Gap which he believes is "something special" after hearing and watching a few onboards from the stage through friends & crews in and around rallying and drifting circles.
The event takes place in Killarney, Co.Kerry on November 30th.
