Former champion returns to ERC

Chris Ingram will return to the European Rally Championship in next weeks Barum Czech Rally Zlín Rally.

The 2019 Championship winner is delighted to return to the championship, While world-level events remain Ingram’s ultimate target, the 29-year-old Briton is hoping his return to the ERC – will boost his prospects of a WRC2 comeback in the near future.

“I’m thrilled to be coming back to the ERC for arguably it’s most iconic round,” said Ingram, who has 40 ERC starts to his name and has contested Barum Czech Rally Zlín on six previous occasions. “Barum has always been one of my favourites as it’s always a challenging rally and it’s special to see the hundreds of thousands of passionate Czech fans along the stages.

Ingram will be in Rallytechnology’s Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 for the first time and the team is as committed as we are to achieving a top result. I hope to then compete back in WRC2 on Central European Rally in October.
