IRISH TARMAC RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP

Evans title charge ends on first loop

A very dissapointing end to what looked like another great battle, But unfortunately Meirion Evans title challenge ended on the second stage this evening.

In very tricky conditions, The Welshman became distracted through the stage, Causing him to slide wide and catch a gate post, Ending his charge for another year.

The retirement of Evans now leaves a two way fight between reigning champion Josh Moffett and current favourite Callum Devine, Who have another two stages this evening, followed by another six stage throughout Saturday.
