Keith Cronin, accompanied by his accomplished co-driver Mikie Galvin, dominated the challenging Galway stages, steering their Ford Fiesta Rally 2 to an impressive victory on the opening round of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship.
The duo showcased their prowess by claiming the top spot in four of the eight stages on the opening day, setting the tone for a commanding performance. Cronin's natural pace coupled with Galvin's expert navigation, proved to be a winning combination.
Heading into Sunday's six additional tests in the Monivea region, Cronin maintained a substantial advantage of 15.6 seconds, illustrating their mastery over the challenging stages and the competitive field.
The Ford Fiesta Rally 2 excelled in the difficult and challenging conditions, despite this Cronin took three fastest times throughout the five Sunday stages to take the win with a lead of 38.1s over Callum Devine.
