2025 Protyre Asphalt Rally Calendar Announced

Double Protyre Asphalt rally champion Callum Black has described the 2025 Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship calendar as “a cracker” – as it contains seven challenging events in England, the Isle of Man, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

This year’s BTRDA run series attracted 200 registered contenders and 2025 is expected to be just as popular – with an inclusive array of classes to cater for a vast variety of cars and some great incentives and rewards (to be announced separately).

With no double header event next year, the best five scores from seven rallies will count towards the final points tally.

With continued support from title sponsor Protyre Motorsport – the largest supplier of Pirelli, Michelin and Hoosier motorsport tyres in the UK – the opening round of the 2025 Protyre Asphalt Rally Championship sees the return of the East Riding Stages to the UK’s premier sealed surface series on 23 February. Organised by Beverley & District Motor Club, the Beverley-based event was a round of the series in 2023 and contains stages held on closed roads in East Yorkshire.

Round 2 is the Manx National Rally on 11/12 April. Organised by Manx Auto Sport, the event will be based at the TT Grandstand in Douglas and will feature some of the very best and classic Isle of Man closed road stages.

Round 3 is the Jim Clark Rally on 23/24May. Organised by the Jim Clark Memorial Motor Club, the event is based in Duns and contains challenging closed road stages in the Scottish border region.

The series remains in Scotland for Round 4 for the Dunoon Presents Argyll Rally on 20/21June. The Mull Car Club organised event ran as a closed road stage rally for the first time in 2021 and has been on the Protyre Asphalt calendar every year since 2022, with picturesque closed road stages in the stunning Argyll and Bute region.

The classic Hamilton’s Folly stage in Northern Ireland is back in 2025 as the Rathfriland Motor Club organised Down Rally returns as Round 5 on 19 July. The event first featured on the Protyre Asphalt calendar in 2019 and won Protyre Asphalt Rally of the Year in 2022.

The Hills Ford Stages will host the sixth and penultimate round of the series on 13/14 September. With challenging closed road stages in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, the Cheltenham Motor Club organised event is a firm favourite with competitors and features an extremely popular ceremonial start in Ledbury’s historic marketplace.

The seventh and final round of the 2025 Protyre Asphalt Rally Championship is the Tour of Epynt on 11/12 October. Organised by Port Talbot Motor Club, the event takes place over the famous rollercoaster military range above Sennybridge.

“The 2025 Protyre Asphalt Rally Championship calendar is a cracker,” says double champion Callum Black.

“There are lots of fantastic events in there, some really challenging rallies with some of the best stages the UK has to offer. Returning to the Down Rally is a great addition, as I loved this event in 2023.

“All of the events are well organised and have their own unique character. Competitors are in for a treat.”
