M-Sport Could Offer Solberg Rally1 Return

M-Sport could offer Oliver Solberg a return to Rally1 machinery for 2024 with the team open to resuming talks with the 22-year old Swedish driver.

After losing his seat with Hyundai in 2022, Solberg held talks with M-Sport's managing director Malcolm Wilson who openly discussed the interest in putting the young Swedish driver in the Ford Puma Rally1 for the 2023 season.

Malcolm Wilson has history with the Solberg family giving Petter his first ever works drive in the late 1990's, The family also believe the teams track record in developing young drivers makes the team a very attractive proposition.

Solberg can also bring his own sponsors to the team with the commercial aspect to any deal a big part of any contract offer especially in the current climate.

A very interesting few weeks lie ahead as teams look to confirm line-ups for 2024.
